Our product development group have a broad knowledge base with over thirty years experience in the following areas;
- Wet spinning, dry and melt spinning – converting polymers into fibres, thus creating the unique performance characteristics that only fibres can offer.
- Fabric design and manufacture – conversion of fibres or yarns into innovative fabrics with exciting properties in non woven, woven or knitted forms. We have particular expertise in handling and processing of fibres that are normally difficult to process.
- Active fibres and fabrics – release of targeted physiologically or biologically active agents from a fabric or fibre.
- Combining multiple layers of fabrics – each individual layer of fabric gives its own properties to a finished composite material resulting in an optimum performance product.
- Chemical modification of fibres – performed using custom built equipment this technique has enabled the successful creation of a new range of products using established fibrous materials. This technique offers almost limitless possibilities for the development of materials with unique properties.
- Polymer synthesis – occasionally product requirements cannot be met by modifying or blending existing fibrous materials. Fibres developed from custom designed polymers could be the solution to your problem.
- GMP – all our manufacturing processes can be performed in a controlled clean room atmosphere utilising our GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) procedures and following design, development and manufacturing processes that follow the guidelines outlined in ISO13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2000.
